It is no surprise that Indonesia made it onto Lonely Planet’s list, as the country offers a wide range of opportunities for adventure in various captivating destinations for both domestic and international travelers.

According to Lonely Planet, about half of the international tourists visiting Indonesia choose Bali as their holiday destination. While Bali is the main attraction, other regions in Indonesia also offer diverse and interesting tourist destinations. From the island of Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, to the easternmost islands such as West Papua and Kalimantan.

1. Jakarta

2. Tanjung Puting National Park, Kalimantan
